Tragic bus accident injures 55 passengers, mostly students near Palghar in Maharashtra

New Delhi, September 9
Around 55 passengers, most of them school and college students, were injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Palghar district of Maharashtra.
The police stated that the accident took place around 6.45 am near Desai village in Wada tehsil. It was a Mahrashtra state Transport Corporation bus.
The police added that a total of 70 passengers were travelling in the bus when it collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on Chinchpada-Wada Road. 47 were students who got injured.
However, none of them suffered any major injury and were saved with minor abraisons. They were taken to a nearby hospital where the condition of all are stable and sent home.
The police have made a note of the incident and begun an inquiry.
