Two drug suppliers arrested by Narcotics Cell of Delhi Crime Branch

New Delhi, April 26

The Narcotics Cell of Delhi Crime Branch arrested two alleged drug peddlars from Kirari Suleman Nagar and seized Heroin worth Rs. 30 lakhs.
The accused were identified as Udai Raj alias Raj Singh (53) and Shree Bhagwan (52) both from Kiradi Suleman Nagar. 

Udai Raj belongs to Badayun UP but residing in Delhi. He was doing plastic scrap business but suffered financial loss during Covid-19 Pandemic whereas Shree Nhagwan is a drug addict and due to addiction of smack and also to earn money he became a drug supplier.

DCP (Narcotics Cell), Delhi Crime Branch, Chinmoy Biswal stated that the crime branch has busted supply chain of contraband Heroin clandestinely active in  Kirari Suleman Nagar and seized 270 gms. of Heroin from their possessions.
The agency had received information that one person namely Raj, who is involved in supply of contraband heroin would come near Shani Bazar Chowk at Kirari Suleman Nagar to supply Heroin to someone. 

The police team laid a trap near Chowk Nithari and caught the duo. When checked they were found with Heroin kept in two packets and concealed by them in their pocket as well as in the dickey of their motorcycle.
The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act while further investigation is on to identify the entire chain of drug trafficking.
