Two men were killed in Tamil Nadu following a violent brawl during a birthday celebration on May 10.

The police stated both the men, Vimal and Jagan, were reportedly friends with multiple pending criminal cases against them at various police stations.

The police added that duo both intoxicated, attended the birthday party. A heated argument during the party escalated into a physical altercation, with the two men reportedly attacking each other.

Vimal was killed on the spot, while Jagan, severely injured, was rushed to a nearby hospital by locals. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving, police added. 

The police have launched an investigation into the incident while they are on the lookout for three suspects who fled the scene following the altercation
