Two sisters in Ghaziabad attacked by neighbours over walking dogs, dogs stabbed

When the family's dogs tried to defend their owners, the attackers turned on them, wounding Taru and Buzzo with the knife

New Delhi, July 27

In a violent attack on two sisters walking their pet dogs in Ghaziabad, the neighbours attacked them with a knife and also their two pet dogs 

The police stated that a minor dispute led to a fight where the neighbours came to attack the sisters- Poonam and Puja who were out with their dogs. The argument began over walking pet dogs on the lane outside.

When the sisters returned home, they thought the matter was over. However, the neighbours knocked on their door, and an argument ensued as soon as they opened the gate. The dispute escalated, leading the neighbours to attack the sisters with a knife inside their home.

The injured dogs are currently undergoing treatment wherein one dog got 20 stitches and another one 18 stitches. 

The police have registered an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 333 (house trespass), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 325 (mischief by killing or maiming animal) and also under provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to animals Act.
