TWO WHO STABBED THE WOMAN WHILE CHAIN SNATCHING, ARRESTED

New Delhi, March 1

The Delhi Police North West District arrested the two persons who had allegedly while trying to snatch chain from a woman in Adarsh Nagar allegedly murdered her. 

The Adarsh Nagar police had received a call from locals that a woman was found lying injured with stab wounds and two boys were involved in allegedly stabbing her.

The police state that the victim was taken to Fortis Hospital at Shalimar Bagh however she succumbed to injuries during treatment. 

The accused were identified as Fardeen (19) and Aqibul (22) both from Jahangir Puri. The weapon of offence & scooty used in commission of crime were recovered by police. 

The police said that duing the investigation, it was revealed that victim alongwith her mother was returning to her home from the weekly market, two boys came on a scooty and one of them reportedly followed her and attempted to snatch her chain. When she resisted and tried to nab him, he stabbed her and both boys fled away from the spot.

DCP North West Usha Rangnani stated that multiple teams of North-West district were pressed into action. The police found the accused within 24 hours of the incident through local information gathering and technical help. Several raids were conducted at spots where the accused were believed to have taken refuge. 

The police are further investigating the case while the accused have been booked for murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
