A young woman, who was a murder witness, was found shot dead near a park at GTB Enclave in Shahdara. The police have detained a man she was last seen with, for questioning.
The local police found a woman lying dead on a service road near Sunder Nagari. The victim was shot on her cheek and chest.
The police suspect that the man is woman’s boyfriend who was captured in the CCTV camera footage from the area.
The police said the woman was a witness to a murder that had taken place in Nand Nagari last November.A man was murdered when he allegedly stepped in to stop two men from harassing the woman and rebuked them.
The police said they are looking into all possible angles, including motives and any possible connection with the Nand Nagari case.
The body of the woman, who has been identified, was brought to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital for postmortem examination.
