Young man missing from Gurugram found dead in a canal of Ghaziabad, police suspect murder

Prince Rana who had been residing in Gurugram was working as a project manager with Blue Star

The Ghaziabad police cracked the death case of a young man whose decomposed body was found in Gangnahar canal in Ghaziabad. What was initially suspected as suicide suspect murder by strangulation after the autopsy reveled related details. 

The victim was identified as Prince Rana, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district, who had been residing in Gurgaon and worked as a project manager with Blue Star. He had been missing since January 15. His wife had filed a missing person’s complaint at Palam Vihar Police station on January 16, a day after he had left his house saying he was going to work.

The locals alerted the Ghaziabad Police of a floating body on January 22 . The police found ids from the belongings and informed Gurugram police.

The post-mortem report, however, cites that the death was due to asphyxia due to strangulation, police informed. 

The Gurugram police stated that they have begun the probe in the matter. Prima facie they found that the victim had put the phone on airplane mode and had lied to his wife about leaving for work whereas didn't report to work. The police also found some letters that state that he had to return the money he had borrowed from a few people.
