ACP Ramesh Kumar who was posted in Model Town years ago got a quarter to stay in Model Town Police Colony. He was the area dry, hot and barren. He decided to plant trees and after help from an IAS officer and officials of Horticulture department, plantes 600 saplings with the help of kids. He had a unique idea and placed pal cards with names of the kids who plantes that respective sapling. Today, those kids are grown up and moved on in life but still keep visiting the Model Town Police Colony to see the sapling they plantes grow into huge trees not only beautifying the colony but providing fresh oxygen to all in the area.
