Actor Saif Ali Khan attack- Police find new CCTV footage. attacker changed clothes, still elusive

New Delhi, January 18

The Mumbai Police that are hunting for the suspect grabbed in the first CCTV footage in the Saif Ali khan attack case have found a new picture of the attacker. 

In this new picture, which is a screen grab from CCTV footage, the attacker can be seen in a different set of clothes than the ones he was found wearing with a cap and exiting the house of actor in Bandra. 

An earlier visual of the attacker, a day after the incident showed him wearing a blue short as opposed to the black t-shirt he wore on the night he attacked the actor. Meanwhile, the attacker can be seen in a yellow t-shirt in the new picture.

Mumbai Police said that the attacker likely took a train from Bandra to move around Mumbai or to travel to another place. The Mumbai Police has formed 35 teams to catch the attacker.

According to the FIR, the intruder, who is yet to be arrested by the police, entered the bedroom of the actor's younger son Jeh. After a house help raised an alarm, Saif intervened and suffered six stab injuries, including one to the thoracic spine. 

Khan was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, where surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. The actor is now out of danger.

Two other house helps also suffered injuries after being attacked by a hexa blade by the intruder.

The police have so far recorded the statement of Bollywood actor and Saif Ali Khan's wife Kareena Kapoor, a day after the attack. Kareena Kapoor told police that the attacker was very aggressive. When there was commotion, she and others at home rushed to the 12th floor of the house. 

The police also recorded the statement of Saif Ali Khan's house help, Eliyama Philip, who first spotted the intruder. Philip said that the intruder was likely around 35-40 years old, with a dark complexion, slim build, around 5 feet 5, and was wearing dark pants and a shirt with a cap on his head.

A carpenter who resembled the suspect was brought to the police station for questioning but was later released.
