ATM at Greater Noida ransacked, looted of Rs. 14 lakhs

New Delhi, July 15

Three persons ransacked an ATM and fled with Rs.14 lakh cash in Dankaur in Greater Noida area.

The police said that the ATM is located near the bank’s branch in Bilaspur village. After the theft, the bank raised an alarm afterwhich police, forensic expert, crime branch and local police reached the spot to collect evidence. 

The Greater Noida police have formed two teams to investigate the case. 

According to the police, the CCTV footage had captured three masked persons barging into the unguarded kiosk with a gas cutter and a bottle of black spray, which they used to disable the security camera, at 3am.

A case has been registered against unidentified persons under Section 392 (robbery) of IPC.
