Bengaluru police arrests four alumni of a school who morphed photos of minor girls of same school

New Delhi, June 4

The Bengaluru police arrested four men for morphing photos of at least seven women, including some minor girls, and circulating those on WhatsApp.

The minor girls are school students and the accused boys are all alumni of the same institution.

The incident came to light after the father of the minor victims registered a complaint with police. The girl complained to her parents about the same when she learnt about her photos being morphed from one of her schoolmates and a friend of the accused men on May 28.

The girl's elder brother met one of the accused and upon checking his phone, he came across the WhatsApp group, where obscene photos of his sister and other women were circulated. The four accused men were the only members of the group, police added.

The probe showed that one of the accused had befriended the complainant's daughter on Instagram, after which his friends and he downloaded her photos and morphed those.

The police booked the accused under the Information Technology Act and IPC section 354 A (sexual harassment). The police seized their devices where photos were found and then deleted.
