Brother shoots younger brother in East Delhi over marital status
Accused has a history of alcohol and drug (weed) addiction and is estranged from his family : Police
New Delhi, January 7
A man shot at his brother in Mandawali area of East Delhi over a marital dispute.
The police have identified the accused as Anand Mishra,who allegedly had an altercation with Anirudh Mishra, 29, over their marital status.
The victim runs a nutrition products store and lives with his parents, while the accused lives in UP.
The police informed that the incident happened at around 12:13 pm in the Mandawali Unche Par area, leaving Anirudh with a gunshot wound to his left upper arm while Anand fled the scene following the attack.
The primary probe suggested that the accused has a history of alcohol and drug (weed) addiction and is estranged from his family. His father had ousted him out of the family in 2015 due to his drinking and smoking habits. After that, his father got his sibling married, which often made him feel bad about his own life.
The police have launched a manhunt to trace him.
