BSF seizes 40 Yaba tablets worth Rs. 40 crores from Mizoram

Mizoram and Cachar Frontier, Border Security Force has seized more than 6,29,880 Yaba Tablets since Jan’2024 in its drive against Drugs and Narcotics

New Delhi, September 21

In a drive against illicit trafficking of Drugs and Narcotics, carried out a Joint Operation with Special Narcotics Police, Aizawl, the Border Security Force (BSF) seized a huge haul of Yaba tablets. 

The officials stated that based on specific BSF input and intercepted one Truck on NH-06 near HP OP filling Station, Selling, Aizawl (Mizoram). Thorough search of the vehicle was carried out in the presence of two independent witnesses and Police. 

During the search, 40 packets containing four lakh Methamphetamine Tables (Yaba tablets) worth Rs 40 crores were recovered hidden in the ceiling of driver’s cabin of the vehicle, on 19 Sep 2024 and one Indian drug Peddler (truck driver/owner) was apprehended.

It is pertinent to mention that Mizoram and Cachar Frontier, Border Security Force has seized more than 6,29,880 Yaba Tablets since Jan’2024 in its drive against Drugs and Narcotics.
