CBI arrested four including one from DSIIDC for alleged bribery

New Delhi, April 23

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an official of Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), Delhi and three private persons in a bribery case.

The CBI had registered  a case on a complaint against two private persons and unknown public servants on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs. 20,000/- for getting the work completed regarding execution of lease of complainant’s plot, from the officials of DSIIDC (Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation).

The officials stated that it was further alleged that complainant’s application of lease was pending since February 23. 

The CBI laid a trap and caught a private person while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000/- as first installment from the complainant. During investigation, two private persons and a dealing assistant of DSIIDC were arrested.

The CBI conducted searches at four places in Delhi and one in Sahibabad at the premises of accused which led to recovery of some documents.

The arrested accused were produced before the competent court at Delhi and were remanded to judicial custody.
