CBI arrests two employees of Delhi MCD, two touts from Sub Registrar office in bribery case

The four accused accepted bribe of Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively from the complainant, in two separate cases of bribery

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused including a Beldar and a Mate of North MCD, Delhi and  two touts, working at the Office of Sub-Registrar Nangloi, Delhi in a bribery case. 

The four accused accepted bribe of Rs. 65,000/ and Rs. 25,000/- respectively  from the complainant, in two separate cases of bribery.

In the first case was registered by CBI against an accused Beldar, North MCD, Delhi on allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 70,000/- from complainant for allowing unhindered construction of his house in Nihal Vihar, Shahadara North. After negotiation, accused agreed to accept bribe of Rs. 65,000/-.

The CBI laid a trap and caught red-handed accused Beldar and a Mate, both of North MCD, Delhi, while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 65,000/- from the complainant.

The second case was registered by CBI against an accused tout working at the Office of Sub-Registrar, Nangloi, Delhi on allegations that accused demanded bribe of Rs. 30,000/- from complainant for facilitating execution of gift deed by exercising his personal influence on Sub- Registrar. After negotiation,accused agreed to accept bribe of Rs. 25,000/-.

The agency laid a trap and caught said accused and another tout, both working at Office Sub- Registrar, Nangloi, Delhi while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from the complainant.
