CBI arrests two more personnel of Delhi Police in bribery case

Sub- Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Sarita Vihar Police Station were caught red handed accepting bribe for quashing the FIR

New Delhi, July 24

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended two accused including a Sub-Inspector (SI) and an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 35,000/- from the complainant.

The CBI registered a case against accused Sub- Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Sarita Vihar Police Station on allegations that accused demanded bribe from complainant for quashing FIR pending against him. It was also alleged that accused agreed to accept Rs. 35,000/- as undue advantage in this regard.

The agency laid a trap and caught the both accused red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of from the complainant.

A day ago, the CBI had arrested a Sub Inspector from Hauz Khas police station and two constables from Patparganj Industrial area police station while accepting bribe of Rs. 2.5 lakhs and Rs. 50,000 respectively in two separate cases.
