Cordella Drugs Case- NCB arrests Aryan Khan, supplier Shreyas Nair to be placed under arrest

New Delhi, October 4

Following a day full of developments on the detention of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in a narcotics case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Aryan Khan and sought further custody for investigation in the Cordelia drugs case.

The NCB has said Aryan Khan's custody will be needed to investigate materials found during the overnight raids.

The NCB is also going to seek further custody of two other accused in connection with the case.

The NCB also picked up Shreyas Nair who had allegedly supplied drugs to Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Khan. Nair is going to get arrested following the questioning. 

The NCB officials seized phones of Aryan and Arbaaz which reportedly revealed names of several persons including Nair. 

Nair was about to be on the same cruise, but he did not board for some reason. The three had earlier met at parties and the proof was found in Aryan Khan's chats.

The officials also noted that Arbaaz Khan revealed that a Goa-based peddler used to supply him with the drugs.

Another accused, Munmun Dhamecha said she received the drugs near the international airport, close to a five-star hotel.

Apart from Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant and another accused, Munmun Dhamecha, were arrested on Saturday by the NCB officials for their alleged involvement in a drugs case.

The NCB confirmed that Aryan Khan was placed under arrest on Sunday at 2 pm, for involvement in consumption, selling and purchasing of contraband.

Acting on a tip-off, the NCB had raided a rave party on board the Empress Cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday. The agency investigators alleged that they had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash from the accused.

NCB Zonal Director,  Sameer Wankhede led the team which busted the rave party on the Cordelia cruise which led to the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.
