Delhi Crime Branch arrested two with over 300 kilograms of Marijuana worth over Rs. three crores
New Delhi, April 24
The Delhi Crime Branch arrested two drug peddlers with over 300 kilograms of Marijuana that were touted to be huge suppliers of the contraband in Jhilmil industrial area of the city.
The accused were identified as Nasir and Sajid.
DCP Crime Monila Bhardwaj stated that the crime branch seized 315 kg fine quality marijuana worth Rs. Three crores in international market.
The crime branch had received information that two persons namely Nasir and Sajid, who are involved in supply of contraband would be coming at Jhilmil Industrial Area to supply huge consignment.
The crime branch laid a trap at Jhilmil Industrial Area and apprehended the duo wo with truck bearing UP-15C-T-9536 on the instance of informer. They were found in possession of 315 Kgs of the contraband.
The officials stated that during interrogation, the accused disclosed that on the direction of Parvej from Hapur in U.P., they were reached at Rajmundri for getting the load. Parvej was found present at the given address and loaded the contraband for handing over to Parmod at Jhilmil Industrial Area.
The crime branch is further investigating the case to identify the entire chain of drug trafficking in both the cases.
