New Delhi, August 5

The Delhi Police Special Task Force arrested Sanjeev Jain, Managing Director and CEO of Parsvnath Developers Private Limited from Delhi International Airport after a 60-kilometer chase.

The police received information that Sanjeev was in an apartment in DLF Phase-2 in Gurugram, Haryana. When the police arrived to arrest Jain, he reportedly attempted to flee, which led to a cat and mouse chase.

Jain had at least four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant pending at Shahdara Police Station.

DCP Shahdara, Surendra Choudhary said, “Non-bailable warrants issued against the CEO for his inability to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission after which the police had formed teams to arrest him. When he was about to get arrested he attempted to flee but he was caught at the airport”.

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission's Joint Registrar issued a non-bailable warrant against Jain on July 18. The dispute between complainants Rajat Babbar and another party and Jain began when the former filed a complaint in 2017.

Jain was produced before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
