Delhi Police Organises Football Match To Increase Awareness And Sensitivity Towards North Eastern People

During the Delhi Police Week a friendly football match was organized at DDA Sports Complex, Vasant Kunj-B Block between Delhi Police XI and people of North Eastern States to familiarise the people from North Eastern States with the police and locals and to strengthen the bond among them.

Addl. DCP South West Delhi Monika Bhardwaj told BW Policeworld that the match was inaugurated by Sh. David Lalrinsanga, IPS,  Jt.  C.P/ SPUNER in the presence of Sh. Ajay Chaudhary, Jt. CP/New Delhi Range, Sh. Hibu Tamang, DCP/SPUNER, Ms. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, Addl. DCP, South West District, Sh. Anil Singh, Asian Gold Medalist and Arjun Awardee, Sh. Joydeep Shukla, Deputy resident Commissioner, Assam, Sh. Marto Bagra, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Arunachal Pardesh and Members/ representatives from the North East India and RWAs. 

A large number of people from North Eastern States as well as locals from Delhi enjoyed the match. The team of North East XI managed to keep the match in their favour, however the Delhi Police XI also gave them strong competition.
