The Delhi Police Rohini District arrested one while two others are absconding in the murder of Faridabad boy.
The accused was identified as Chetan (21) from Budh Vihar.
As per the case details, Budh Vihar police station received information on March 14
through PCR call regarding stabbing of a person. When the police reached the spot they found victim, Shivam Thakur alias Mukhiya (22) a resident of Faridabad was lying injured. He was shifted to Bhagwati Hospital in Rohini however he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
DCP Rohini, Pranav Tayal stated that the victim was killed following an altercation with the accused in presence of citizens present at the spot. The investigators arrested the accused within 24 hours of the incident.
The police began Investigation and various pieces of evidence and information were linked to solve the murder. From the analysis of scene of crime and evidences collected, 3 persons namely Chetan, Bhola and Pawan were identified. The police carried out raids at their possible hideouts and with ceaseless efforts one accused person namely Chetan was arrested from Budh Vihar on local information.
The police said, during his interrogation, accused Chetan confessed that he, along with his associates had committed the murder. During further course of investigation, it emerged that that a quarrel took place between the deceased & the accused persons over the issue of his girlfriend being manhandled by the later. On this issue, the deceased Shivam and and accused Bhola had a heated argument in the morning also. Infuriated by the counter argument of the deceased, Bhola along with his co-associates namely Chetan and Pawan went to him and an altercation broke out between them. Chetan allegedly stabbed him in presence of several local citizens present at the spot.
The police stated that Chetan is an addict who got into wrong circle of persons to satisfy his addiction for liquor. However, there are no previous cases of crime against him.
The police recovered a knife used in commission of crime and blood sustained clothes.The police have now geared up to arrest the other accused who are absconidng.
