Delhi Police Special Cell arrested sharpshooter and notorious gangster of Ashok Pradhan gang

The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested sharpshooter and notorious gangster of Ashok Pradhan gang after a brief exchange of fire.
The accused was identified as Happy alias Manoj alias Bhola (29) of Ghogha in New Delhi.
The special officials states that the accused is active sharp shooter of notorious Ashok Pradhan gang.
DCP Special Cell, Sanjeev Yadav stated that the accused is the right hand of dreaded local criminal Neeraj Bhardwaj alias Ghogha of his village Ghogha. Both of them are active members and shooters of notorious gangster Ashok Pradhan. A reward of Rs. 50,000/- was also declared by Delhi Police upon his arrest.
The team of Special Cell team was specifically working hard to trace active and rewarded criminals or gangsters. The special cell received information that Happy would be coming in the area of Village Salapur in Kapshera to meet one of his associates to plan some heinous criminal activity.
The special cell team laid a trap and found the accused at the place of information on one black colour motor cycle. When the police team asked him to stop but he did not obey the directions of police and tried to flee towards Bijwasan, by taking U-turn.
The officials added that during this process, his bike got disbalanced and he fell down on the road. He immediately whipped out his pistol and opened fire on the police team. One of the bullet hit the BP jacket of ASI Devendra Kumar who had lucky escape, while Inspector Atul Tyagi managed to save himself by ducking down when accused fired upon him. The also retaliated in their self defence in which the accused Happy received bullet injury on his right leg and accused was then apprehended.
The special cell seized one semi-automatic pistol of .32/7.65 bore, with five live cartridges from his possession. The black colour motorcycle recovered from accused was found stolen from the area of Prem Nagar in Rohini..
The accused has been booked under Sections 86, 353,332, 307 of the IPC and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act.
Mentioning about rhe accused, the special cell stated that in 2009, he was arrested in UP in attempt to murder case and Gangster Act. Thereafter, he got arrested in various other cases of heinous nature i.e. Abduction, Murder, Attempt to murder, Robbery, Extortion, Snatching, theft, Arms Act in the area of Delhi and UP.
Elaborating on the criminal cases of the accused, the special cell stated that in he month of October 2019, he was involved in the incident of firing upon police party when he alongwith his associates Neeraj Bhardwaj and Rajesh alias Imran had opened fire on the team of Special Cell, Delhi. His associate Neeraj Bhardwaj was apprehended by the Special Cell on the spot but accused Manoj and his associate Rajesh managed to escape.
The accused was also wanted in the recent case of attempt to murder case in Narela Industrial Area. In another incident accused Manoj alongwith his associate in Meerut, UP and other associates at the instance of notorious gangster of Western UP namely Udham had abducted one advocate Subodh, from Shamli, UP and demanded an extortion money of Rs. 20 Lakhs. However, Adv. Subodh was ready to pay an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs only. When Adv. Subodh could not fulfill their illegal demands they murdered him in the area of Shamli, UP.
The accused was wanted in 14 other cases at Narela, Delhi Crime Branch and Shamli of UP.
