DU student dies by suicide at her home in Central Delhi

New Delhi, December 25

A Delhi University student died bv suicide at her residence in Kamla Market area of Central Delhi. 

The victim was a 20-year-old girl who was found hanging from the ceiling of her room at her house in government quarters. 

The police were informed through a PCR call. 

The girl's father worked at the Intelligence Bureau and had died five years ago. Her mother also works with the IB; she was given the job on compassionate grounds on account of her husband’s death. 

The police teams also found a suicide note from the spot which does not point to any allegations. 

Inquest proceedings are underway, police added.
