Encounter between terrorists and security forces in Baramulla of J&K

This is the second incident of encounter between militants and security forces in two days

New Delhi, September 14

An encounter started between security forces and terrorists in the Chak Tapper Kreeri Pattan area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. 

The Kashmir zone police stated that a gunfight and search operation are underway in the area, according to the police.

The gunfight in Baramulla occurred after two Army personnel were injured in a separate encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar. The soldiers were identified as Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh.

Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the valley, the incidents of terror attacks have increased. 

In another latest incident on September 11 security forces killed two terrorists in an encounter at Basantgarh, near the Kathua-Udhampur border. Another gunfight had erupted in Udhampur district on the same day.
