The FICCI presented SMART Policing Awards 2021 to various State and UT Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) for their pathbreaking initiatives for better policing, community policing, law and order, technology in policing, women and child safety, crime, cybercrime and special initiatives for the citizens.
In about 30 categories of SMART Policing, the police from various states and UTs bagged the prestigious FICCI SMART Policing awards held at New Delhi on September 2.

The rescue operation was a time bound rapid action project which stands as one of the best examples of an excellent coordination among local police and administration who helped habitants of Pettimudi after a heavy land slide occurred due to the highest rain in last 40 years. The 17 days rescue operation developed a trust bridge amongst Kerala Police, administration, and citizens.

The drone monitoring system was implemented in 127-Gosaba Assembly Constituency during the Assembly elections 2021. Nine drones were employed simultaneously across the nine inhabited islands of Sundarbans. Its main objective is to enhance capability in keeping a sharp vigil over the sensitive areas where there had been several incidents during the pre-poll phase.
