The Licensing Division of Delhi Police launched several new initiatives aimed at streamlining and modernizing licensing services The new services are designed to offer greater efficiency, transparency, and accessibility to general public.
The event was inaugurated and services were launched by Special CP (Licensing) Virender Chahal in the presence of B S Jaiswal Jt CP, S K Tiwari Addl CP and other senior officers of Licensing Unit.
New Services- Existing services related cinema have been brought to online portal of licensing division. Services related to Arm licenses like grant of Additional Arms License, Enhancement of Quota cartridge, Transport License and NOC for journey license for firearms also have been brought online.
Extension of Licensing Module to Subdivision and Police Station Level In an effort to completely digitize the licensing process. The online system has been extended to the subdivision and police station level. This move will reduce processing times, increase accessibility, and ensure that licensing is issued quickly.
Issuance of Eating & Lodging Licenses via Blockchain Technology (Proof of Concept) Licensing Unit is in process of implementing cutting-edge technology to improve the efficiency, transparency of the licensing process for the eating and lodging houses. The use of blockchain technology in the issuance of Eating & Lodging Licenses will ensure a transparent, tamper-proof, and quick approval process. A Proof of Concept (POC) was showcased for issuance of licenses in collaboration with School of Computer & System Science, JNU, Delhi..
