Four men assault a youth outside a departmental store in Gurugram with a beer bottle

New Delhi, November 9

Four men allegedly attacked a youth with a beer bottle after an argument near a mall in Gurugram. 

The incident took place on November 2 around 1.15 am when the victim and his friend had gone to a grocery and retail store outside Star Mall in sector 30.

The victim, Aman Sheoran (25), a resident of sector 45, said that he went inside a 24 seven store to purchase something while his friend was seated in the car in the parking area.

When he returned to the parking area, I saw that four men were slapping and punching his friend. One person had a beer bottle in his hand and was about to attack his friend when he intervened. On seeing his intervention, the accused hit the bottle on the victim’s head.  They also stabbed him with the piece of the bottle in his abdomen. 

He was rushed to a private hospital nearby for treatment. The police recorded his statements and registered the complaint. 

The police teams are scanning for CCTV footage to identify the accused who are at large. 

The police have registered an FIR under sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code at sector 40 police station, said police.
