Ghaziabad police arrests a man for harassing and threatening women with fake Insta posts

Accused Nishad used photographs of women from their Instagram profiles to make vulgar reels and then threatened to rape them : Police

New Delhi, October 18

The Ghaziabad Police arrested a young man for allegedly harassing and threatening women by making fake Instagram profiles in their names.

The police identified the accused as Sheelu Nishad, a resident of Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh.

The police stated that Nishad used photographs of women from their Instagram profiles to make vulgar reels and then threatened to rape them. He then was registered by the Ghaziabad Cyber Cell based on a complaint filed by a woman at whose house Nishad worked for a day in Ghaziabad. He had asked for the employer’s instagram ID and later started harassing the woman online,

During questioning he claimed that a woman had cheated him in love and he was taking revenge from women across the state. He used to go to different cities and identify women by visiting their houses while seeking work.
