Gurugram Police arrests Sandeep of Kaushal gang who was carrying Rs. one lakhs reward by NIA

New Delhi, June 26
The Gurugram Police arrested gangster Sandeep alias Bandar of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang who was wanted and carrying a reward of Rs. one lakhs of his name announced by the Natioal Investigation Agency (NIA).
Sandeep is a key member of the dreaded Kaushal Chaudhary gang of Haryana. He was wanted in several cases of crime mainly extortion.
Sandeep is a resident of Naharpur Rupa village where gangsters Kaushal Chaudhary and Amit Dagar also belong and run the extortion nexus. He is also a key member of the gang and allegedly carries out extortion for Chaudhary.
The Gurugram Crime Branch stated that Sandeep was on the run and was staying in cities in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar before coming to Gurugram.
During interrogation and after going through his criminal record, the police found cases under sections including murder, attempt to murder, robbery planning, extortion, threatening, encounter with police and possession of illegal weapons etc had been lodged against him in Gurgaon and Delhi. About a dozen charges have been registered against him for carrying out serious crimes, added the police.
He allegedly began his criminal activities with the gang in 2007 and has been active ever since. He has been out on bail since September 2021.
