The Gurugram Police have recovered the body of an unidentified woman aged around 35 from an abandoned black suitcase near Shiv Nadar School on the Gurugram-Faridabad road.
The police said the body was found in an open area slightly off the footpath following a tip-off. The police teams including dog squad units, inspected the site.
The primary probe shows that the body was brought from another location and dumped at the site. As per the description given by police, the woman was wearing a green top and black jeans. She had a bangle on her right wrist, a tattoo of a figure on her right forearm, a bracelet on her left wrist, and the number ‘8’ tattooed on her left thumb. Additionally, a tattoo with the word ‘Maa’ in black and red was found below her left shoulder.
The police announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for anyone providing information leading to her identification and said the informant’s identity will be kept confidential.
This follows a series of similar cases in Haryana in which women were allegedly killed and their bodies recovered later.
Earlier, On April 2, a woman’s headless body was found stuffed in a travel bag along the Agra Canal in Faridabad. The police had said they were alerted by residents who noticed a bag in the area. Upon investigation, they found that the legs of the body inside the bag were tied with a thin rope, and the site was infested with worms when it was discovered.
On April 30, the city police arrested a 31-year-old cab driver who killed and dumped the body of his live-in partner in Uttarakhand five months ago. The victim’s headless and decomposed body had been discovered under a bridge at Udham Singh Nagar.
A 49-year-old man was arrested last week in connection with the murder of his live-in partner, whose body was found in a decomposed state on a bed at their rented home in Faridabad’s Jawar Colony. The murder allegedly stemmed from an argument between the couple after the victim made derogatory comments about the accused’s 20-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
