IIT Delhi students dies by suicide in East Delhi

New Delhi, November 1

An engineering student at IIT Delhi allegedly died by suicide at his East Delhi home.

The deceased was identified as Pranav Jain (23).  He was in final year B.Tech at IIT. 

The police stated that Jain was suffering from stress and depression for the last few months and was undergoing treatment. When his parents left home around 8-9.30 pm for a walk, ge took an extreme step. 

When they returned, they found the door was locked and their son was not responding. They got suspicious and broke the door to find him dead. No suicide note was found at the spot.

The police added that an autopsy was conducted and the body was handed to the parents. 

The police have registered a case of suicide.
