Interpol's most wanted gangster Goldy Brar now among the top 25 wanted fugitives declared in Canada

New Delhi, May 3

The dreaded fugitive gangster Goldy Brar is now the the top 25 most wanted fugitives in Canada.

A statement issued by the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi issued a statement saying, “Interpol-Ottawa’s Fugitive Apprehension Support Team (FAST) has added fugitive Satinderjit Singh ‘Goldy’ Brar as the latest addition to the top 25 list. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is investigating into the allegations against Brar originating from India. “The RCMP is dedicated to supporting its international policing partners and is working closely with Indian law enforcement to ensure that justice is provided to the victims. Brar’s life-sized cutout among all 25 fugitives has been displayed at Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square, according to the BOLO Programme list".

The High Commission in the statement also mentioned that Canada's Be On Look Out (BOLO) Programme a not-for profit organization that amplifies police fugitive cases to increase public awareness has updated its list of 25 most wanted criminals on May 1.

Goldy Brar has been living in Canada since 2017 when he moved there on a  student VISA. Brar had claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjab singer Siddhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa on May 29, 2022.

Brar is the mastermind behind several attacks in India from high profile murders to RPG attack in Mohali, aiding the organized crime in India with his associate gangs like Lawrence Bishnoi, Jitendra Gogi and more. Brar is also said to be in close contact with ISI sponsored terrorist Harvinder Rinda. Bishnoi in an interview to a TV channel from jail recently had claimed that Brar had planned the murder of Moosewala to avenge the killing of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera.

The statement further added, "He is believed to be in Canada and represents a risk to public safety”. The Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Goldy Brar.

It is to be noted that Brar is also under the radar of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The NIA probing three terror-gangster nexus cases, had in March this year filed a charge sheet against Brar, Bishnoi and a dozen others, charging them with criminal conspiracy to unleash a wave of terror and carry out targeted killings of high-profile people.
