J&K and Delhi Police arrest a former militant wanted in a terror funding case from Nizamuddin area

New Delhi, February 28
The intelligence wing of the Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi Police arrested a former militant from Delhi for his alleged involvement in terror funding and links with terrorist organisations.
He has been identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Khan, who claimed to be selling shawls in Delhi and Chandigarh. He was allegedly staying in the Nizamuddin area in a guesthouse since last few weeks.
The police stated that he was a “courier involved in routing money”. Khan had links with militant outfits across the border.
The J&K Police said in statement that Khan “relates to providing of logistic support to terrorists of proscribed terrorist organisation(s) active in UT of J&K by a variety of means”, including providing or passing on funds to them for carrying terrorist activities.
“This money is being routed through various means from across LoC, then pushed into India through their couriers which included arrested accused Parvez Ahmad Khan,” the statement further said.
He also told the investigators that he was planning to go back to Kashmir after his work, officials added.
