A low intensity blast occured near PVR in Prashant Vihar area that injured one man.
The Delhi Police received a call at around 11.41 am informing them about an explosion in a white powder-like substance in a park.
Teams from the fire department, bomb squad, crime, forensics as well as local police are at the spot.
The police stated that windows and windshield of a parked vehicle were intact after the blast, indicating that it could be explosives of low quality.
The explosion near the PVR cinema in Prashant Vihar caused panic among residents and passersby.
Officials and police are yet to confirm the cause of the explosion and no casualties have been reported so far. After the incident, the area has been cordoned off, and police are investigating the incident.
The police are probing the case further. Incidentally, it was the same place where low intensity blast had occured in October 20 when a man walking his dog threw a cigarette in waste dump causing a low intensity blast.
