Man dies during a police raid in Bijnor of UP, police state he fell from terrace during escape

A man died under mysterious circumstances during a police raid in Bijnor district of UP while the police stated that he fell from the terrace and died while trying to escape.
The victim was identified as Shahzad, 40 a native of Tibadi village. The police team had gone to detain Shahzad after a case ws registered against him by village pradhan Shabana on August 28.
The village pradhan had filed a complaint on August 28, an FIR was registered at Dhampur police station under IPC sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) where she had alleged that Shahzad had threatened to kill her.
Shahzad had gone to Rahmulla Colony in Kotwali Dehat area to meet his ailing sister here the police teams reached to arrest him.
A video of the incident also surfaced on Internet that showed police opening fire at him while a team was chasing him.
The Bijor police said in a statement: “As soon as Shahzad saw the police team, he ran…and fell down, due to which he died. The postmortem was conducted by a panel of doctors; videography/ photography was done. According to the [autopsy] report, the man died due to head injury. Information about [him] being shot is wrong. There was no firing by police.”
There were also allegeations that the policemen had purportedly left an injured Shahzad behind. Superintendent of Police Bijnor has suspended Sub-Inspector Anil Kumar, Head Constable Manoj Kumar, and Constables Ankit Rana and Vijay Tomar with immediate effec.
