PFWS organises Annual Sports Meet 'PFWS Mission Olympics 2025'

The closing ceremony of the Annual Sports Meet 2025, organized under the banner “PFWS Mission Olympics”, was held with great enthusiasm and grandeur at New Police Lines Sports Ground, Kingsway Camp on March 29, 2025.
The event marked the culmination of an exhilarating and competitive sports extravaganza where athletes showcased their exceptional skills, determination, and sportsmanship.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, as the Chief Guest, along with Olympic silver medalist and international w restler Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Arjuna Awardee Sarita Mor, also an international medalist wrestler, as the Special Guests. Additionally, the event was honored by the presence of Ritu Arora, President of PFWS, along with distinguished personalities from ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation.
The sports meet featured a diverse range of competitions including Athletics, Badminton, Shooting, Wrestling, Basketball, Football, Cricket, and Kabaddi, attracting hundreds of athletes from across Delhi. PFWS athletes delivered an exceptional performance, securing 47 medals out of a total of 138, comprising 17 gold, 14 silver, and 16 bronze medals, along with multiple team trophies.
Addressing the gathering, Delhi CP Sanjay Arora congratulated and lauded the winners for their
hard work and perseverance. He commended PFWS for its pivotal role in empowering police families and underscored the significance of such platforms in nurturing talent and inspiring individuals to pursue their passions. He further emphasized that the presence of Shri Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Ms. Sarita Mor would serve as a tremendous source of inspiration and encouragement for the young participants.
Ritu Arora, President PFWS, expressed immense pride in the achievements of the players, highlighting their dedication and perseverance. She also extended heartfelt gratitude to ONGC and IOC for their invaluable support and contributions, which played a crucial role in fostering and encouraging young talent.
Renowned sports figures Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Sarita Mor motivated and inspired the children, stressing the significance of dedication, discipline, and perseverance. They shared their personal journeys and struggles, encouraging young athletes to remain determined and never give up on their dreams.
The event concluded on a high note with a group photograph featuring all the winners alongside the Chief Guest and Special Guests, capturing the spirit of the day. The ceremony culminated with the release of balloons bearing the PFWS-Mission Olympics banner into the sky, symbolizing unity, aspiration, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
