Property dealer murder case- Accused turns out to be Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba syndicate gangster

Anil alias Sonu Matka of Ghaziabad was involved in murder of property dealer of Farsh Bazaar; accused found involved in multiple cases

New Delhi, November 8

The Delhi Police probing the property dealer firing and murder case of Diwali have found that the accused is a historysheeter involved connected with members of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba syndicate. 

The police stated that identified as Anil alias Sonu Matka of Ghaziabad and hails from East Gokulpur. He is accused in three cases of murder, multiple cases of robbery and extortion. He was also found involved in a Rs 1.5-crore robbery that had taken place at Karol Bagh in 2022.

As per the case details of Diwali murder case, Akash Sharma alias Chotu (40) and his nephew Rishabh Sharma were shot dead in Shahdara’s Farsh Bazar while they were celebrating Diwali. His 10-year-old son was also injured in the incident.

The police apprehended a minor for planning the murder. As per police, the juvenile had claimed during questioning that he had a dispute with Akash involving Rs 70,000, which led him to hatch a conspiracy to kill him.

DCP (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam stated that Anil has connections with gangsters and is a historysheeter.  He was in touch with Cablewala and Baba, a Northeast Delhi gangster who are involved in the illegal betting business. 

He was also arrested in 2015 in an Arms Act case in Jafrabad. In 2021, he was released on parole and didn’t return to jail, police further added.
