New Delhi, May 30
In yet another revelation in the Pune Porche accident, it has come to the fore that the mother of the 17-year-old boy had given her blood sample that was swapped with that of her son's at the city's Sassoon General Hospital.
The investigation now points that the mother, Shivani Agarwal's blood sample was taken by Dr. Shrihari Halnor.
Agarwal was present at the hospital when the test happened and is absconding after the arrest of Dr Halnor and Dr Ajay Tawade.
The teenager, son of a city-based builder, Vishal Agarwal had kileed two IT professionals, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta by ramming his over speeding Porche car into their bike on May 19. He was taken to Sassoon General Hospital for his alcohol test.
The FSL report had showed ‘no alcohol found’ which raised suspicions. Later, a second blood test conducted at a different hospital and DNA tests confirmed the samples were from two different individuals.
The investigation showed that two doctors- Dr Halnor and Dr Ajay Tawade had swapped the blood reports of the minor to give a no alcohol found report to police. The duo had even received Rs. 3 lakhs from the hospital staffer now in police custody.
According to the police, Dr Halnor, who had taken the blood sample from the juvenile, revealed he had changed the blood sample on the directions of Dr Tawade.
The probe has also exposed that before the minor's blood samples were collected, the teen driver's father, Vishal Agarwal, communicated with Dr Tawade via WhatsApp, and FaceTime calls, as well as a single general call. The calls were made between 8.30 am and 10.40 am on May 19 and the blood samples were taken at 11 am.
The doctors not only tampered with the evidence but also tried to protect the juvenile from police by swapping reports with that of his mother's sample.
The police are now on the lookout for Shivani Agarwal.
