Security hightened in Delhi for visit of US Vice President JD Vance and family

JD Vance, along with his wife Usha and their three children Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel is scheduled to arrive at the Palam airbase for their four day visit to India

New Delhi, April 21

The Delhi Police and other agencies have set up tight security across the national capital for the arrival of United States Vice President J D Vance and his family. 

JD Vance, along with his wife Usha and their three children Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel is scheduled to arrive at the Palam airbase for their four day visit to India.  

The police conducted mock drills in accordance with security protocols for this high-level visit. Security has been tightened across several areas of Delhi to ensure the visit proceeds without any untoward incidents, officials told media. 

The Delhi Traffic Police will ensure smooth across the city to facilitate the US vice president’s travel without any problem, officials further added.

The Vice President and his family are likely to visit the Akshardham temple, Indian handicrafts shopping complexes and other sites in the city. 

JD Vance is expected to depart Delhi on Monday night and continue his visit to Jaipur and Agra thereafter.
