Six-year-old girl raped in Agra, critical; UP Plice detains 11-year-old accused boy

New Delhi, April 8

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 11-year-old boy in a village in Agra of Uttar Pradesh. The UP Police arrested a 11-year-old boy who raped her

The accused and the victim belong to different communities in the village. The boy is a student of Class 4th. 

As per the complaint lodged by the girl’s father, she had gone for tuition classes at around 5.30 pm when the boy convinced her to accompany him to an isolated place and raped her. When she reached home around 7.30 pm, she was bleeding and informed her mother. She told her family that she knows the accused. 

The plice rushed to the girl's home. The medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape. The girl was admitted to a local hospital where her condition was stated to be critical. 

The incident sparked anger among the locals. The police deployed more force in the village following the incident in a bid to prevent further trouble as 

The boy has been booked under various sections including under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
