South Delhi school receives bomb threat, turns out to be a hoax

The email was received at 12.30 am on August 2

New Delhi, August 2

Summer Fields School in Greater Kailash area of Delhi received a bomb threat via an email prompting the police to rush to the spot with bomb and dog squad. 

The email was received at 12.30 am on August 2. However, the authorities noticed the email only after the school was opened, police informed. 

The police were informed, and an evacuation was ordered on the school premises and it turned out to be a hoax call.

The school was evacuated within 10 minutes of receiving the email and the premises was thoroughly checked. 

The students were sent home with their parents. The police are conducting further checks in the school.
