Telangana girl dies by suicide due to harassment of a man who forced her to marry him

A girl from Telangana's Mahabubabad died while succumbing to her injuries after attempting suicide due to harassment of a man.
The police stated that the victim was pursuing a diploma in Kodad, where one man asked her to marry him. She declined the proposal, following which the man, along with a few of his friends, started harassing her.
Unable to bear the harrasment from the group of men, she consumed poison in a bid to end her life on August 15.
She was rushed to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she died on August 17.
The police have arrested the men named by the complainant before she died.
The girl tied rakhi to her brother before she succumbed, a video that was shared on Internet leaving her family numb.
