Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla inaugurated BSF art and craft exhibition, Prahari 2.0 app

New Delhi, April 4
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla inaugurated the BSF Art and Craft exhibition and BSF Prahari 2.0 App at Ashwini BSF Officers' Institute at Nizamuddin in New Delhi in the presence of Nitin Agrawal, DG BSF, officers and their families.
Seema Praharis brave the tough conditions and terrains round the clock to protect our borders 24 X 7, which evokes an image of a tough, rugged and battle hardened character, but Seema Praharis are more than that and also possess finesse in field of arts such as music, painting, sculpting, craft etc.
The exhibition will run from 11 in the morning followed by a music show at 6pm. The exhibition has paintings (Oil, pastel, charcoal, water color, sketching), wood carvings and sculptures, stone sculptures, clay art, lippan art, bamboo art, instrumental music and singing.
More than 115 artists from all over the country as well as their family members will be showcasing their talent in this exhibition. More than 415 Art works will be on display during the exhibition.
The BSF Prahari App was initially launched by Home Minister Amit Shah in December 2022 Now, to augment the ease of use for Seema Praharis the upgraded version of this app is being launched with following features.
Bio-data - Serving Seema Praharis can see and download their updated bio-data through this app.
Leave - Easy provision for downloading leave history/leave order of each individual.
GPF - Provision for processing GPF withdrawal application.
Leave extension - Provision for processing leave extension application.
Contact With HQ -Contact number of senior officers are available in this app. In case of any urgency, Jawans while on leave or temporary duty etc, can easily contact their superiors.
Bilingual App - App interface is available in hindi and English.
