UP Government transfers three IPS and 16 PPS officers

New Delhi, April 8

The Uttar Pradesh government ordered a reshuffle in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department. 

Three IPS and 16 PPS officers have been transferred, including new postings for IPS couple Anirudh Singh and Arti Singh.

The 2018 batch IPS officer, Anirudh Singh, posted as Additional Superintendent of Police Rural in Meerut, has been transferred and posted as Addl SP, CBCID, Lucknow. 

Aniruddh Singh was under the investigation after a video went had gone viral on social media were he was seen demanding bribe of Rs. 20 lakhs. The UP DGP had ordered an investigation on and directed the Varanasi CP to submit a report on the case.

After the Varanasi CP had initiated the probe he was removes from the post in Merut and held in waiting for the next post. 

After the alleged bribery investigation, his wife Aarti Singh jad also come under the radar where there were allegations on her for not paying her rent to the house owner. 

Arti Singh, a 2017 batch IPS officer and posted as Additional Commissioner of Police Commissionerate Varanasi, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kanpur Nagar Commissionerate

While PPS officer Kamlesh Bahadur, who was posted in Bulandshahr, has been given responsibility of additional SP Rural in Meerut.

2018 batch IPS officer Ankita Sharma, who was posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kanpur Nagar Commissionerate, has been made Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Varanasi
