The judge's family that lives in Bareilly accused their neighbour of stealing their dog after picking up a fight

New Delhi, May 24

A civil judge’s dog has allegedly been stolen from his house in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. The UP Police booked around 24 persons individuals under the Animal Cruelty Act.

The judge's family alleged that their neighbour, Dumpy Ahmed, stole their pet. The judge is currently posted in Hardoi, while his family resides at Suncity colony in Bareilly.

As per the complaint, the judge's family and Ahmed's family had got into an argument a few days ago, as per the FIR. Dumpy Ahmed's son, Qadir Khan, who resides in the same colony, had allegedly tried to intimidate the judge's family members and threatened to kill them.

On May 16, Dumpy Ahmed's wife arrived at the judge’s residence and demanded to have a word with them. Ahmed's wife was angry with the family as their dog had allegedly attacked her along with her daughter.

The judge was informed about the incident, and he called the Bareilly Police from Lucknow and gave them the information about the entire incident over the phone.

The police are now searching for the dog and taking legal action on Ahmed family.
