Six police officers were suspended in Agra for failing to intervene during an assault on two inspectors. The incident occurred due to a marital dispute when a male inspector was caught at a female inspector's house by his wife.
The police said that the female inspector was from Rakabganj Police Station, the male inspector was from Muzaffarnagar Police Station.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows several people assaulting and tearing the clothes of the male inspector.
As per the details, both of them had first met when they were posted in Noida, and after being transferred to different districts, they used to take leaves and visit each other.
The male inspector's wife was tipped off about their alleged meeting and she went to the female inspector's house in Agra, along with a few of her relatives. When both of them refused to come out, they broke the door and started assaulting each other.
The male inspector's wife alleged that he had recently been transferred to the Vigilance Department and had come to Agra to be with his lover.
