U.P.Police On A Recruitment Spree
Uttar Pradesh government is going to strengthen its police with more workforce. With over 20 crore people in the state, it is being considered a welcome step to recruit more personnel at ground level.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced that one lakh 50 thousand policemen would be inducted in the U.P.Police in the next three years. As of now, there are two lakh and 50 thousand personnel in the state police force. With the new recruits, state police are expected to get a firm grip on law and order situation.
With 75 districts, Uttar Pradesh is a big state. In the census 2011, there is more than 20 crore people are living in the state. This is the reason that Yogi government has taken the decision to recruit more cops. Out of these one lakh and 50 thousand personnel, recruitment process of 47 thousand is going to be completed in December 2017 itself. Besides, Yogi government has also decided to restore 52 coys of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary). The previous government had closed them as many hurled allegations that PAC was a communal force.
