Wanted robber arrested in a shootout by Noida Police

New Delhi, July 24

The Noida Police arrested an accused in a 2021 robbery case after an exchange of fire in Greater Noida area. 

The accused was identified as Keshav Kumar, resident of Utrawali village in Bulandshahr.  

The police team that was on patrol had received information that the accused was in the area. The police tried to stop him, but he opened fire at the team. The officers retaliated in self-defence and took him into custody.

Kumar was wanted in connection with “a case of robbing a gun from a security guard. A reward of Rs 10,000 had been declared on his name. Another case has also been registered against him in Bulandshahr. 

The police seized an illegal pistol, a hollow cartridge, a live cartridge and a motorcycle from him.
