West Bengal CID arrests TMC leader Debashish Pramanik and two others in land grab case
Debashish Pramanik was involved in scams in different areas in the Dabgram-Fulbari block of Jalpaiguri
New Delhi, June 28
The West Bengal Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Debashish Pramanik and two others in a land grab case of Jalpaiguri district.
The two people arrested along with him have been identified as one Bimal Roy, and Mohammad Kalam.
The CID stated that Debashish Pramanik was involved in scams in different areas in the Dabgram-Fulbari block of Jalpaiguri.
The arrests were made based on a complaint against five people by a resident of Paghalupara. The resident alleged that the five people illegally grabbed her land.
The CID was tasked to probe the landgrab cases in Jalpaiguri as per the instructions of Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee.
