Woman enters Mah Mantralaya, vandalizes deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis' office

Dhanashri Sahastrabuddhe, a resident of Ramgiri Heights apartment in Dadar and is said to be mentally unstable

In an incident of security breach, a woman entered high security zone of Maharashtra Mantralaya and vandalised the office of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and raised slogans against him. 

The woman was identified as Dhanashri Sahastrabuddhe, a resident of Ramgiri Heights apartment in Dadar and is said to be mentally unstable.

The police stated that she managed to sneak into the high-security Mantralaya building and went to the sixth-floor office of Fadnavis without any pass. She raised slogans against the Deputy Chief Minister and also attempted to damage his nameplate by throwing it on the ground. 

After damaging the office and its exteriors, she fled from the spot though security ran behind her. 

The visuals from the spot showed several potted plants smashed on the floor.

The Mumbai police told media that the incident took place at around 6:35 pm on September 26. The woman reportedly has some mental illness. 

The police have launched the probe to know how she entered the building and managed to reach Fadnavis' office. 

After her identification, the police teams rushed to Dadar to arrest her. Upon seeing the police, the woman locked herself in the house. The police were ordered not to arrest her fearing that she might take some drastic step. 

The police also recorded statements of her building and neighbours who informed that the woman was involved in similar incidents in past.
